Credentialing Information
As of May, 2007 the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system for two-year college faculty salary and credentialing has transitioned to a new web based application called the College Faculty Salary and Credentialing System. Using this application, you will submit all new salary placement, column change, qualification evaluation, credentialing, and Teaching and Learning Competency requests beginning with an effective date of fall, 2007. This application has been developed in order to streamline what is a detailed process. Rather than filling out multiple forms, you will create one personal electronic record containing your employment and education history, and draw from this record to create and submit the appropriate electronic forms. In addition to greater efficiency, you will have independent access to a history of your salary placement, qualification evaluation, and Teaching and Learning competency submissions. Your first step in using this system will be to access the training materials available. Please view the faculty user tutorial online at: http://www.hr.mnscu.edu/video/SPCredfacultytutorial.swf Download the printable user guidebook for your convenience: http://www.hr.mnscu.edu/forms/SPCredGuide_Faculty.pdf You can also view the College Faculty Salary and Credentialing System Flowchart at: http://www.hr.mnscu.edu/forms/MSCF/SPCredFlowchart.pdf Once you have taken advantage of these training materials you are ready to register yourself on the site. Go to https://spp.mnscu.edu/ and follow the instructions for registering as a first-time user. Even if you have previous salary placement or credentials with MnSCU, all submissions henceforth will be carried out using this system, and you must register. Follow the instructions in the guidebook and in the tutorial to submit your information for salary placement, qualification evaluation, credentialing, and Teaching and Learning Competency requests. Please contact your campus human resources department with your questions.
